The Operator Years

For twenty years, I closed deals other people couldn’t do alone. Not because I had the biggest team or the fanciest title — but because I could identify and understand the problem faster than anyone else and come up with a plan to architect a structure that made it work.

Traditional mortgage loans. Private lending. Land banking. Commercial real estate. Land development. Commercial finance. I structured and closed more than $200 million in deals, the largest single deal being $25MM involving 880 acres. Mostly working alone or with a small team, across markets that don't forgive slow or sloppy operations.

I was very good at it.

The Involuntary Stop

Then I stopped myself involuntarily after a devasting loss. I hit a wall that had nothing to do with business — and I lost years I can't get back. I've accepted it, I took responsibility for it, and moved on, because what happened after matters more than what happened during.

My most precious accomplishment remained intact: my family. My 4 children have thrived. My oldest has a career in Insurance and is self-sufficient, both my sons are also professionals, incredible and amazing human beings, and my youngest daughter graduated from Duke Medical School and practices emergency medicine today and is barely 28 years old, my wife of 35 years is still my partner.

When I came out the other side, I carried something most operators never develop — a first-person understanding of what it feels like when a system has the power to determine your future and you have no tools to fight back.

The Legal Conflict & Organization

That experience didn't slow me down. It focused me and helped me take aim.

I came back to deal-making, to operations, and eventually to a legal conflict of my own (battleing the past along the way) — one that forced me to learn the court system from the inside. No lawyer. No budget. Just organization, evidence, and relentless preparation. I had to seek justice without capital and resources, so I had to out-document and out-strategize people with professional legal support.

Then I looked around and realized: most people in real legal conflict or any type of conflict really never get that. Not because they aren't capable, but because nobody built them the tools.

That's where MyLegalLiaison.com & "coming soon" MyLegalagent.ai came from. Not from a whiteboard session. From building the thing I needed and didn't have. All my apps you can access and use also were built from this place of building what I needed and not relying on paying others to do it for me.

The Accelerator

At 56, starting in 2022 I went all in on "LLM's" and prompt engineering to learn AI tools and subscribed to the "Tech Stack" tools needed to build functional AI applications from scratch. Many of them are live right now on my greybeardpro.com app library website — legal tech, finance dashboards, calculators, consulting tools. I use multiple AI systems simultaneously as an operator team, deploy to my own server, and architect multi-agent workflows that most founders would never attempt on their own.

AI is not my origin story. It's become my accelerator and now with the age of ClawdClaw, AntiGravity, Manus, and the AI Agentic revolution it is also my multiplier. The origin story is three decades of hard work in the real world before the tools existed to do it faster.
